Our dental health is very important and it reflects our general health to a great extent. Like other our tooth is also one of the important parts of our body and we hardly care for these. There are many people who bother to brush for a couple of seconds and immediately rush off with the entire method of cleaning your teeth. We all need to start taking better care of our teeth than we usually tend to do.

Brush your teeth twice a day. Brushing your teeth every morning is a common habit followed by all, as it helps in clearing the bad breath. Using a Mouthwash after brushing is also said to be good for your teeth. It is helps you to freshen your breath and reduces the amount of plaque in your mouth by up to 70% more that what you can clean using a regular brush. By using this you are less likely to develop various gums diseases and your teeth will be strengthened.

Try to avoid or make less use of foods that are high in sugar content. Any day when you consume any fizzy drink or eat high in sugar food then you should remember to brush at the end of the day as fizzy drinks can lead to cause dental cavities or cause erosion of teeth and in turn lead them to tooth sensitivity, sugar can also cause dental caries.

Even though we can find some amount of sugar in natural fruits and vegetable but the worst offenders are sweets, chocolates and fizzy drinks. Therefore, it is always a good idea to avoid such food substances.

Use toothpaste and mouthwash that contain fluoride. It is a very good substance to prevent tooth decay and cavities. Ask your dentist if you must use a mouthwash with fluoride.  Fluorides have the characteristic of encouraging growth tooth structure, which will be useful in preventing tooth decay or dental cavity. Using fluoride containing toothpaste from the childhood will help you develop better teeth and prevent various dental problems both primary and permanent.
